Fraser Island
The world's largest island made up entirely of sand, Fraser Island has an amazing diverisity of flora and fauna and is packed with amazing places to visit. There's also a wide array of ways to visit and see the island, including organized tours on big 4WD buses and scenic flights and aerial tours. For a real adventure, nothing beats a self drive tour with a rented 4x4 jeep. The jeeps come fully equipped with camping gear and everything you need for touring the island, including maps, a briefing and touring information. You just need to buy your own food at the supermarket and you're on your way!

Lake McKenzie on Fraser Island is an amazingly beautiful clear blue, freshwater lake. It's the most popular swimming spot on the island and will usually be fairly busy with tourists.
Eli Creek is another popular swimming spot on the island. It's a short but clean and clear stream that you can float down to the beach.
